Members of the North Idaho 21st Battalion of Light Foot Militia march on a three mile hike along a rural road near Priest River, Idaho during a cold weather training exercise.
The men and women of this particular group consider themselves a constitutional militia and claim they are not affiliated with any specific hate groups, although they are listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a group that "engages in groundless conspiracy theorizing, or advocate or adhere to extreme anti-government doctrines."
Formed in 2009 after U.S. President Barack Obama was inaugurated into office, some members are ex-military while others have no combat training experience to speak of.
